Our guest house is located in the centre of the green Echerntal and is the starting point for many hiking tours into the centre, the valley and the mountains. Fans of Nordic walking and mountain biking get their money's worth here.

Within 5 to 10 minutes' walk you arrive at the lake, the historic centre or the salt mine cable railway. It takes a 5-minute drive by car to get to the Dachstein-Krippenstein cable railway with which you can explore the fascinating world of the giant ice cave and the mammoth caves.

Hallstatt is located right in-between several ski and cross-country ski areas. After only a five-minute drive (by car or ski bus) you arrive at the ski area of Krippenstein, and within about 15-20 minutes, you reach the ski area of Dachstein West (free ski bus for a return trip), and it takes approximately 30 minutes to drive to the ski area of Loser and 30-40 minutes away from there is the ski area of Bad Mitterndorf/Tauplitz. Enjoy the beautiful landscape in winter when skiing, cross-country skiing, walking or hiking and then afterwards the pleasurable quiet of Hallstatt.

A wintery walk through the snow-covered Echerntal, along the Waldbach across the highly romatic Malerweg is an event which you will never forget.
